There are a lot of Omega Speedmasters made and even in the vintage pieces, true rarities always stick out. This 105.002 from 1962 is a very rare transitional model which can easily be mistaken for a 2998-61 as they share every single particularity except their reference. The serial of the movement falls in the right range of the reference. Bezel is still very clean after 60 years and dial is in exceptional condition for the age with little aging on some markers, no lume loss on hands nor on the dial. The crown is a later, probably replaced during an earlier service.
