One of those oddities Tudor made back in the 90's when they were trying to see what would make sense in the market. Without any surprise, the Monarch was a total flop overall in a market which was trying to get away as much as possible from Quartz models. Today it remains a classic that competes with far more expensive watches in this sub 3k category of watches. This is the perfect "I don't care about" watch and can be enjoyed daily with no issues. It is sturdy with a very slim profile and wears smaller than the 36mm measured due to these proportions.
